Meridian Public Schools delivers tomorrow's education today through innovative, project-based and student-centered learning methods proven to increase success after graduation. Professional development days are spent collaborating together with experts in the educational field to continue to grow deeper learning practices. Today, bus drivers, paraprofessionals, food service staff, and faculty welcomed national educational trainers, Geoff Krall and Katrina Martinez, and an expert in emotional learning, Bev Wenzel, The Rock Center for Youth Development Executive Director, to foster the skills, qualities, and attributes of an ideal Meridian graduate #reachhigher.
At MECHS, we provide a professional learning environment where students are empowered to be active in school affairs and take ownership over the learning experience. Today, learners worked together with a national PBL coach to offer feedback on deeper learning practices.
