Welcome back to the team, Matthew Shephard! He will continue as the Director of Bands at MECHS. One fun fact about Mr. Shephard is that he published a book during the pandemic.


Returning as the MECHS Social Worker this year is Bekka Seer. Mrs. Seer has a masters in social work from MSU.


Patrick Pinnow will be returning to the MECHS team as the American Studies and World History teacher. One fun fact about him is that he loves to travel and has been to Rome.


Did you know that Mrs. Nosakowski is a licensed veterinary nurse? She will be continuing her role as the teacher of Biomedical Science CTE, Work- Based Learning and the TA programs for the 2022-2023 school year.


Kari Loll is returning to our team as the Wellness and Physical Science teacher. Kari enjoys card making, repurposing, crafting and knitting.


Returning to MECHS as a math teacher this year is Toby McGillis. Mr. McGillis enjoys video games, card games, and comics.


Students in the building trades program learn hands-on, real world skills on the construction site. This year’s house will be a 1735 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home with a full wood basement. #ReachHigher




Sarah Larges returns to MECHS teaching Civics, Economics and Creative Communications for the 2022-2023 school year. One fun fact about her is that she has many outdoor cats.


Congratulations to Reese Hopkins for being named the Meridian Early College High School Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen for 2022! Reese was selected because of her dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. Congratulations Reese! Reach Higher!

Samantha Lichtenwald is returning to the MECHS team this year teaching BioLit, Biology, and Environmental Science. Ms. L. enjoys hunting and fishing.


Welcome back to the team, Gina Lewandowski! She will continue as the art and design teacher for the school. One fun fact about Mrs. L is that she is a beekeeper.


Our BioMedical Science CTE course used microscopes to compare different tissue types. At MECHS, students collaborate on projects that require critical thinking, creativity and collaboration in order to answer challenging questions and develop transferrable skills. #ReachHigher





Noah Kent is retuning to his role as the Director of Technology and Auditorium Services for the 2022-2023 school year. One fun fact about Mr. Kent is that he enjoys baking. His favorite thing to learn how to bake so far is bread!


Amy Huff is returning to the team this year teaching GeoDesign and Chemistry. One fun fact about Ms. Huff is that she is from the U.P.


Welcome back to the team, Jennifer Fenby. Mrs. Fenby will be returning to MECHS this year in a new role as an ELA Interventionist. On fun fact about Mrs. Fenby is that she has coached youth sports for the bulk of her life.
