Congratulations to Ethan Barratt, Gabriel Miller and Elizabeth Stoneburner who represented Meridian Early College High School at the Great Lakes Bay Youth Leadership Institute this year! The GLBYLI provides a select group of juniors and seniors in the Great Lakes Bay Region leadership training and helps students acquire new skills that will benefit their own professional development as well as the community as a whole. Gabe acted as Master of Ceremonies at the end of the year banquet that served over 250 people. We are so proud of their efforts this year!

The National Honor Society is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Friday, March 17th . Appointment slots run from 9:30am-2:50pm. Students, staff and community members can sign up to donate blood using the link on the flyer. You must be AT LEAST 16 years of age to donate. If you are 16, a Consent for Blood Collection form must be signed by a parent/guardian and brought with you when you donate. All who donate must bring a photo ID. The blood drive will be held in the auditorium lobby. Remember to EAT A GOOD BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER prior to donating. The MHSAA girls, district 70 basketball tournament, will begin this evening at MECHS. Beal City will play Saginaw Valley Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. The winner will play tomorrow vs. Hemlock at 5:30. MECHS will play St. Louis at 7:00. Purchase tickets through GoFan. #MustangCountry
