Each year the Detroit Jazz Festival Committee selects 6 high school jazz bands to perform at the world's largest free jazz festival held over Labor Day weekend in downtown Detroit. The Meridian Early College High School Jazz Ensemble has been one of the few selected to perform with this September marking the tenth time since 2012. This performance for several thousand Detroit Jazz Festival attendees was the culmination of months of hard work on the part of our student musicians. To perform alongside jazz professionals from across the globe was an experience not to be forgotten. Congratulations, Jazz Band! #ReachHigher

The Class of 2024 is holding a can & bottle drive Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You can drop your donations off to the main entrance of the high school from 5-7pm September 13th-15th.
