Congratulations to the following MECHS artists who were selected as regional winners of the Michigan Art Educators Association Art Competition; Natalie Borges, Joshua Cull, Mariah Gaskell, Brooklyn LaLicata, Brooklyn Mack, Addison Metzger, Angela Nichols, Bret Shaw, Allison Stewart, and Isabella Werner! The artwork is on display at the Grace A Dow Library Mezzanine Gallery through the end of the month, where a reception was held Wednesday evening to honor the artists. The art was adjudicated and five pieces from MECHS were selected to move on to the state level competition! The state level qualifiers are Joshua Cull, Mariah Gaskell, Brooklyn LaLicata, Brooklyn Mack, and Addison Metzger! The piece created by Joshua Cull was selected as Best of Show for the regional show! Yesterday, students from the MECHS Principles of BioMedical Science class taught by Ms. Nosakowski, attended a field trip to the MyMichigan Health simulation lab where they were able to learn about, take, and assess vital signs on the simulator.
