On Tuesday, August 8th, 2023, Meridian Public School District voters will be asked to vote on a no tax rate increase over current levy bond proposal to fund a facility improvement plan that will add classroom instructional spaces. Meridian Public Schools has great aspirations for all students and our desire is for them to have learning environments that reflect this. The districts main focus will be to address the overcrowding at Meridian Elementary by adding additional classrooms that are safe, modern, and comfortable for all students to experience enhanced learning and educational opportunities. Meridian Public Schools will be offering FREE breakfast and lunch to any individual 18 years and younger, or 26 years of age or younger if receiving special education support, during the summer! Location: Meridian Elementary Cafeteria 3353 N. Meridian Road Sanford, MI 48657 Served Monday through Thursday Starting June 12th through August 10th - Closed July 3rd and July 4th. Breakfast served from 8:45am to 9:15am and lunch is served from 11:30am to 12:30pm Meals must be eaten in the cafeteria. They cannot be taken off-site. Anyone is welcome. MES, MJHS, and CMU are sponsoring a Family Science Night on Wednesday, April 12th from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Meridian Jr. High School for 4th– 8th graders and their families. The purpose of the Family Science Night is for students to learn about a science topic along with their family and to motivate students to want to learn more in the area of science. Central Michigan University science education students will be running the night’s events, and 4th– 8th graders attending must be accompanied by at least one adult. When signing up, parents will pick one of the sessions listed on the flyer.
