Meridian Public Schools is a district that has invested heavily in technology, with the belief that certain advances in technology can also advance student learning. In our Meridian Elementary classrooms you will find ceiling mounted projectors, document cameras, Apple TVs, audio systems, wireless microphones for teachers, and each student has their own technology device. In the young fives through second grade classrooms our students are assigned their own iPad, and students in third and fourth grade classrooms are each assigned a Chromebook. While we continue to place a priority on the use of paper and pencil in learning tasks at the elementary level, we also appreciate how technology increases our creativity, curiosity, and personalizes learning. We see these as important features in the preparation of our students for the future workforce in this 21st century world.
