Good Morning Mustangs,
The FCC has created a national broadband map that displays where internet services are—and are not—available across the United States, as reported by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the FCC’s ongoing Broadband Data Collection. This map (https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov) will be used to help determine future broadband expansion efforts and billions in grant funding to close the digital divide. Please consider checking the accuracy at your home address, as well as neighbors, family, friends, etc. If you find any inaccuracies, you can submit a location challenge through the website before the January 13, 2023 deadline.
Thank you

Good Evening Mustangs,
The District has contracted with the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) to facilitate a search for the new superintendent at Meridian Public Schools. The District is gathering input through an on-line anonymous survey that will be conducted from December 19 through January 10. Survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MPS_Supt
This information will be used to help develop criteria that our district feels we should have in a new superintendent. If there are questions regarding the survey, they can be directed to Dave Moore, MASB Consultant @ davemoore6282@gmail.com

Mustangs: Consumers Energy has given the all clear on West River Road near the daycare center, and our main entrance has reopened. Thank you.

Mustangs: Please note that there was an accident on West River Road near our Daycare Center which took down the power line along the roadway. If you are picking up your child from the center, please use the playground gate entrance and the back portion of the parking lot. The main entrance to the building is closed at this time. Jerome Township Fire Department and the Midland County Sheriff's Office has the front portion of the parking lot blocked off while Consumer's Energy works to repair the line.
Thank you

We are asking all families to fill out a free and reduced lunch application whether you think you qualify or not. The portal for doing all things food service is now https://meridian.familyportal.cloud. Dear Meridian Families, Students, and Staff,
This is a quick update to make everyone aware that the CDC updated their mask guidance and requirements last Friday, February 25th. After confirming with the Midland County Department of Public Health, Meridian Public Schools will be recommending masking on school buses, but not requiring them, effective immediately. We will still have masks available for students who request them for the remainder of the school year.

Good Afternoon Mustangs,
This is a reminder about the school calendar changes that were made back in January for students in order to provide the staff with some very important training during the second half of the school year. Students will not report on February 25th and March 18th. April 14th and May 26th will now be half days for students. Staff will utilize this time to engage in additional training time to ensure that all team members receive critical updates on how to respond during a threatening situation from our school resource officer; as well as, a refresher on our Smart Boot Door Security System.
A copy of the updated school calendar can be found by going to www.merps.org/calendar.
Thank you

Meridian Public Schools will be closed today due to Snow
